Ill try to keep it detailed and honest.
The Antec 900 is a lot smaller then my Akasa62, so the Akasa wins in this area I think I spent half a day trying to set it up and run a few cable ties, the Akasa62 has no such issues and is a joy to work with you can easily hide any cables and excess in the bays, I did however find a very narrow small gap at the bottom of the Antec 900 to which I shoved many excess/cables in of course once its all setup its done. But if your forever upgrading/changing parts the Akasa wins.
Looks? No contest the Antec wins here the Plastic front is a lot thicker/higher quality and solid black Its steel and solid grills at the front, the rest is Steel panels/Plastic solid top. The Akasa had a terrible plastic £3.50p look but nice alu side panels.
Cooling: No contest again the Antec wins here unlike the Akasa which has a bottom notch and air vent lines I found air could barely get past that to cool the insides of the case my hdd temps were ok, but even to the touch now using the Antec the hdds are cool and not even warm like before. + the 8800GTX and other parts are definatly recieving a nice cool breeze which they werent before on the Akasa62.
Silence factor: The Antec wins here, for some specific reasons for one thing I replaced the 120mm fans with Zalman 120mm fans using the 7v transistor dongle, I cant stand bloo bright fans ! I have 2 fans on the front and thats all, no need to switch on the 200mm fan. The reason why its overall more silent is since on my Akasa I had an issue the front 120mm fan use to cause an vacuum like hum thru that plastic front! and would often rattle as well!
The Antec shows no such issues. Even with rubber grommets it wasnt solved on the Akasa62 I could solve it by removing the front panel though!. Also cos its more sturder and steel I find it dampens the noise on the Antec900. And I have more hdds/8800GTX in my Antec which I didnt in the eclipse62. Massive rubber feet on the Antec 900 dampen such vibrations/hums and issues over the Akasa62. Its just a case of airflow not being stuck between plastic/filters imo which was the issue with the Akasa62.
Features: Both about same ! Akasa 62 had the removable tray and filters were good and it was highly moddable as in u can remove the cages/bays which was excellent however the Antec 900 with its 200mm fan and proper front air flow and hdd Cage system to allow for 6 hdds and plenty more drives is impressive especially since they got 120mm fans on the front. The Antec has got some other nice features but overall I feel antec put more thought into there design/features.
Would I buy it again?
Yes cos its almost impossible for me to find a good case to replace the Akasa Eclipse62 ! and ive been looking at all the Li Lan cases and others and it seems to me finding a Perfect Case is next to impossible
Having said that next week ill proberly find myself getting another case
