My Avatar.

Not trying to drag an old subject up, but I kinda like them. It's something a look for in a poster, see how many posts they have, it goes part of the way for me figuring out if a poster is a serious ocuk member and it may make me respect their views a bit more as opposed to a user with just 5 posts. It's sort of like a mark that they have "served their time" or at least contributed a lot to the ocuk community.

I disagree completely with this but let's put that aside for one moment. How does a picture of a character from a film indicate any of what you said? Surely that's post count, not the avatar?

Yes, but generally, the two go hand in hand, unless the poster chooses to stick with the "lower ranked" avatar. Obviously what I said is not entirely true half the time, but I use it as a simple off the cuff way of judging somebody here, nothing more than that, and it is wrong at least half the time. :)

You for instance, have around 7000 posts, I've seen you on here quite a few times and I would class you as a regular poster who contributes a lot (probably!!!) to forum discussions and therefore I respect you that little bit more than somebody with just a handful of votes.

That's all I really wanted to say on that.

What about those without an avatar

Heh, when I first found the forum, at a glance I thought that the Tony Soprano Avatar was one single poster.

I was like "this guy has got a LOT of time on his hands".
