My backup method, whats yours?

i would get lost with all that :p
hehe. if it wasn't my system then i would get lost with all that too. :p

but over time i.ve got used to it. each day i tell myself i need to start puting the things on to disks to clear some hdd space but i keep putting it off for another day. :(

um bung the windows disc in if and when it goes belly up then download my steam account :) jobs a good un

i use robocopy to backup my data to an external drive a few times a week. i don't bother backing up windows. if i was to lose my windows install, i'd rather install from scratch than use an image.

I use the built in image creation tool on Win 7 to take an image of my HDD every couple of weeks which I store on an external HDD. I also have all my Music and Pic's etc backed up separately just in case.

interesting none is using external sites to back up on a regular basis automatically.

im looking into using vstuff from virgin - just working out a way to encrypt my data first!

Do a Win7 image of my C: every month and keep that on another drive. I also take a copy of all key documents/programs/downloads about once every fortnight and drag them off to another disk.

That's about it. Nothing too high tech for me but it does the job. Most things of extreme importance can always be found in my email if it is recently worked on, anyway.

I'm going to be honest and say, I don't back up anything. I used to faff around but now I just partition my drives and if C goes pop, I just whack the USB stick in with WIndows 7 and 20 minutes later it's all up and running. Of course, if the drive dies, then there's not a lot I can do about it

Can't believe Back blaze hasn't been given a mention. Off-site, unlimited storage - per computer subscription.

I was just about to ask if anytone could suggest an off site backup solution. Is Back Blaze the best considering the price?

There is also Mozy and DropBox.
Mozy is similar to ack Blaze.
DropBox isn't really an offline backup, more like an offline server.
