My biggest ever PC BUILD. Help!!!!!

Poor choice of SSD - aside from that - its top notch. You want an Intel X25 SSD - they are the best by far IMHO - coupled with some 1TB Spinpoint F1's from Samsung in a RAID 5 if you have a decent RAID card.

Oh, and personally i'd go for a Lian Li X500 case with a Zalman MFC2 fan controller, it looks beautiful - trust me.

Don't get that case, will spoil the rest of the build!
Go for something like a Silverstone TJ07!

Then build a water cooling system yourself.
The thermaltake ones are a waste of time really.

I also have a really high end speaker package and my new 7.1 cambridge amp is on the way which supports both HDMI and toslink.

I would have liked to have been able to enforce the recommendation by Natima to go for an RME card but if you have a 7.1 surround system you will have to go with HDMI, not Toslink, and currently (and probably ever) RME have no products which provide this. Beautiful cards though. I've been happy with mine for a few years now.

Look i dont want to sound ott but i had made my first half million by 18yo. so yes i have the money but thats not the point. the point is i want the best. and also isnt the 920 multiplier restricted? i really wanna overclock and set the mark.

All i am asking for is some opinions on this, i get a real buzz of having the best and building my own computers.

i would appreciate the advice.

Also i hope that i am not breaching any of the forum rules.

Sorry but i dont believe you. What do you do? , how have you made this kind of money? , do you have a website? , shops?

I think your a dreamer. Prove me wrong!

That's.. incredible. I almost fell off the bed when I saw the x5 next to the HDD model. 7.5 TB! I'm not sure anyone could fault you really - if you in all honesty have the cash to blow on something like this, then you've pretty much got the best desktop PC parts :D. Still, even if you had infinite money, the 965 is sod loads more than the 940.

If you don't mind me asking, how on earth did you make £500K by age 18? I'm a uni student and several grand in debt..

Still waiting for a reply??

LOL , he wont reply as hes been challenged to answer where the money came from. He put the same question on a different forum , but mentioned nothing about being loaded. He talks like a typical 16-17yr old dreamer!

having known someone in his early 20's who was a millionaire (and won brightons young entrepreneur award 2 years ago (iirc)) made started his own business at 18 (networking for small businesses and it snowballed from there).

so whilst unlikely it isn't impossible :)

Regardless of whether or not this is a hungry troll (reserving judgement on this based on some more recent threads) using dual 4870 x2's for 1080p is a most wonderful example of overkill. Though I suppose 3 GPU's could fold whilst one does the gaming.

Not that the GPU selection is the only criticism of this build, but the other major ones have already been addressed.

is it really overkill on a 60"?

I knew the bitchy flames would start to show ... this is going to go from spec me a PC to prove how big your balls are because everyone can't take someone else being richer than them.

Jesus .... I had a real problem with the £7500 bloke because quite simply his attitude stunk and he had the brains of a 12yr old, most likely he was spending daddies money.

But with all due respect guys, so what if someone has more money and wants to spend it ... lets help the bloke out and enjoy the build logs, he hasn't tried to rub it in anyones face so leave his personal life alone and stop with the questions.

If the OP is genuine then all is well but even so you can't expect people to not flame as it's quite an uncommon situation. Although I can see this getting locked just like the last one and for exactly the same reasons.

To the OP: You've basically just given us a list of expensive equipment, which (whether you intended for it to or not) will cause a lot of unnecessary friction on the forums.
What exactly do you want opinions on? What is the PC for? What is the budget if people do want to make suggestions etc?

Congratulations on that.

Just because you have the money to buy practically anything doesn't mean you should, remember quality not quantity. don't waste money on SSD's a new 1TB SSD was released a couple of days ago and should be available to buy in a couple of months. Resist the urge to splurge.

People dont become millionaires by spending thousands on a pc that could be shrunk to £600-£700 with not much compromise.

I dont belive for a second he has more money than us. I think he wants to think he has. Has he been back on to reply to the question (how did you make your money)??

No of course he hasnt. As he doesnt have that much in the first place.

I know of no millionaire that squanders money!

Could some one link me to that £7500 thread (iv lost in :() and i forgot to see how it turned out.

For the OP i wouldnt have as many hdd's as he speced, too many options to fail really....
