Everytime I start my computer it displays the Windows XP loading screen, then up flashes a blue error message for a fraction of a second. This continues, presumably, eternally.

I managed to boot up Safe Mode and unchecked the 'Automatically Restart' option.

This is the message displayed at the error screen:

*** STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005,0x805A82AE,0xF79C7698,0xF79C7394)

I'm running an ASUS A6Tc with XP (obviously). AMD Turion TL50, 1GB RAM, Nvidia GeForceGo 7300

Hope someone can be a hero and help out with this jam.

I had a similar problem a few months ago, except my bluescreen told me that there was a problem with amon.sys, which was a Nod32 driver that went bad somehow. I deleted it in ERD commander. My friend doesn't know what the conflict is, so we can't do the same. Has anyone here got any ideas/had a similar problem?

Thanks.

Try getting back into safe mode, and look at the device manager. Sometimes this can be caused by a faulty driver, and this *should* show up as a warning on the hardware in question.

Also, check the event viewer when you're in safe mode. A BSOD should show up (as in, the event will be a red "error" not that it will BSOD!), if you get an event ID of 1003, its hardware related. Anything else and you'll have to post it here or google it and I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Thanks for the responses. I'm not sure if my friend has tried those solutions yet, but I'll speak to him soon and post whatever solution we find.
