I know its not in the same league as some new cars posted recently ;) But done a lot of work to my car recently, and today this morning just gave it a quick clean. Thought I would post up a few pictures, though having resized them they are a bit blury!

In the past 6 weeks its had, clutch, water pump (didnt really need doing but did it any way, cars got 100k) viscous fan and belt, rear trailing arm bushes, all new suspension made up of Bilstein shocks, springs, new front and rear top mounts, gaskets and all new bolts and nuts from BMW also serviced it at the same time. Also brand new headlamp lenses, really smartens the front up. Drives really tight now, but still not 100% to me. Going to get a x-brace underneath of the M3 cabs, and eibach do a front and rear ARB kit which is on the list of things to buy!

Yesterday I changed the rear window rubbers, and I have a new ingition barrel and switch on order from BMW as i ts starting to just turn and turn!

I dont plan on doing anything to the outside of it, I just want to get all the little bits done so that it drives as well as it can and get it as clean as my E30 was. Its had the larger Throttle body and Manifold on it which I did last year, could probably do with a remap at some point to get it all working together.

Any comments are well welcome.

I can still remember my Aunties 328i with the full M bodykit.
Good memories ;)

I also remember when some thieving ***** came and stripped the whole car; rims, bodykit, indicators, windscreen, windows, exhaust, spoiler the lot :(

Stereo also got nicked a couple of times too.
It was also red as well.

Beautiful beautiful cars.

That looks great! What model is it?

Cheers for all the comments guys. Its a 328i sport manual. Runs really well with the additions now, pulls strong, should be about 220BHP judging from other peoples experience with the same parts. Its a very clean car, never was a huge E36 fan, but the sports are still nice.

I'm no E36 fan but that looks lovely, really excellent condition, nice one :)

Now I'm just awaiting the clueless numpties to come in and slate the M badges on the doors..

No don't, keep it like it is, they really set off a standard Sport :)

Dissapointed BMW removed them from the E39 as part of the facelift.

Looking good dude, the E36 Sport is something I'd consider for my next car.

I think a subtle spoiler would set off the back end quite nicely, IIRC the E36 M3's had them?

Sure is, nightmare to keep looking good but hey! Not so keen on a rear spoiler, I am actually really starting to like the clean look of it without. Want to keep it looking like it came out the factory on the outside. But a bit harder where it matters underneath :)

I'm no BMW fan but I have to say that your car looks amazing! It looks in immaculate condition and very smart :)

What happened to the silver E30?

stunning colour in the flesh, tends to look pink or orange if not kept shiney :D

i prefered my e36 without a spoiler, was a much cleaner look to the car compared to the various spoilers that were available.

The E30 sport was sold on to a friend of mine. Unfortunatly it was later involved in an accident and has never really been the same since. It was a really gorgeous car when I had it, spent an absoloute fortune on it, literally the majority of the main components had either been replaced or fixed.

I do miss it ! it used to get a lot of praise but they are old cars now. Trying to use it as a daily and keeping it how I wanted wasnt working out and it was frustrating me. As I am sure a lot of people on here can relate to , other peoples lack of respect for other cars on the road and the fact that it got keyd up majorly a number of times left me pretty dissapointed! I know it wasnt an expensive car but when you spend so much time on something to see other people have no regard it can be quite crushing! So at that point I just decided to buy something a bit newer and more reliable but to try and keep it clean like I managed with the E30.

Can you share some tips on how you keep your cars so clean? My 5 is similarly clean... but I want to keep it that way. I was rather upset to find a chip in the paintwork on the drivers side door yesterday :( Now I know its there, its obvious every time I look at the car. With the exception of the front bumper and bonnet (Despite a respray in January), it's the only mark on the car :(
