Well my cat (Toejam) was diagnozed with cat aids (F.I.V) a few months back

he wasted away to skin and bones within the last 2 months

just found him all curled up in his bed and he has gone to kitty heaven :(

he was 12 years old and i had him since he was 8 weeks old

worst part of having pets, you really do get attached to them.

so sad right now :(

aww.. he looks like a proper wicked cat..

but dont get too wound up.. he's gone to kitty heaven and you can get a new kitten...  :D

Really sorry to hear that :( I'll hate the day my cat dies. Funnily enough your cat looks very much like mine.
They certainly do become part of the family.

Sorry to hear that chap, you're so right - the worst thing about pets is when their lives come to an end.

My cat Cleo died just before Christmas. She had some kind of Leukaemia like problem, and got all anaemic. It was devastating to see her deteriorate, and when it was obvious that she wasn't going to get better, we had to do the humane thing.

Just try and console yourself in the knowledge that ToeJam had a lot of love and probably had a great life with you and your family, and nature just took its course.

One thing that I felt after Cleo passed away, was how guilty I was over all the little things she did that ****** me off. For example when I was pulling up onto the drive, she would always sit in the way and I'd have to get out the bloody car and move her 'manually'. And she always used to get under your feet in the kitchen. That's all so trivial in hindsight.

That's a nice pic of him you have there, you should get a good quality print of it and put it somewhere so you can remember him ;)

Aww man I feel for your loss, I lost a cat the same way iirc, she was 7-8 and i'd had her since I was only 2 (when she was born). I honestly cried for days.

Hope you feel better soon! Is another cat on it's way?

Very strange  I used to have a cat called Cleo that died of leukaemia and went all anaemic too. :(

Don't call you cat cleo apparently. :(

Sorry to hear the news m8, I know just how you feel.

So sorry to hear of your loss, like hp said get a nice piccy of him done.
I have two moggys, Bella and Max (Max could be Toejam's twin !!!) named after the Tweenies by my then 4 yr old daughter.
Would hate anything to happen to them.
:(

sorry to hear that mate, I kinda know how you feel, lost a cat last year, poor thing got knocked down 10yds from my front door as I was getting ready for work, worst part was I didn't know until 5 days after when my neighbour told me. We were looking for him for days. :(

Thats a lovely picture of him and he had a long life with an owner that loved him. Can't ask for more than that. :)

already got another cat (Zed)

the way i feel at the moment makes me think twice about having ANY other pets, but who knows

thanks for all the kind remarks, good to know there is so many cat lovers on here :)

Sorry about your loss my friend, I also have 2 cats and a dog. They get on great, but one of my cats "Berkely" must be getting on about 14 years old now. But is still in pretty much great shape, also he is the Boss, he puts my Springer Spaniel in place!

He has recently had a bladder infection as older cats do and had to undergo some injections and a course of anti-biotics. But these things you can expect when they get older. Look at how many times we humans get ill.

I am sorry for your loss. Your right, its amazing how you do get so attached to them. They are part of you and your family. Nothing is ever easy!

Id hate to loose any of my pets,

It's a lovely photo of him and remember the times you had with him and in a way, he'll always be with you.
