My cat just died

deepest sympathies for you mate...
one of the first things i did when i found out my cat jet died was post on here... had sooo many replies to the thread, really helped me out.

we still haven't got another pet after jet, it's hard to replace something thats been in your life for so long... it'll take time but the wounds do heal slowly.

My cat next to me hes 8 now, you can be a monster of a man and tough as nails but you still get upset when your pet dies. Like most say here; especially after they have been with you so long, its not a pet then its a part of the family and they do form part of your life.
Its awesome for me when I come home and hes there when no one is even home yet!

Sorry to hear that mate. I've lost a few dogs over the last few years and I know exactly how you feel. This morning my parents took our dog to the vet to get her booster I was dreading coming home because every check up our dogs have been to over the past few years there's been something wrong with them. Thankfully she was fine. Just remember your kitty had a long and happy life and that you looked after him well.

As already said, I'm sure he was a very happy moggy and led a very cosy life. Nice that he passed away peacefully all curled up. I hope I'm so lucky when my time comes :)
 
I'm not a cat person but the loss of a beloved pet is always difficult. I have lost four dogs and the loss is always very hard to cope with. My condolensces. :(

Give it a month or so and then perhaps you could consider giving a loving home to a fluffy, cute kitten. :)
 
Sorry to hear that mate, it's horrible when we lose things we're attached to but it's part of life. Juts condole yourself with the happy memories of what you had together and i'm sure that will help.
