My civic build up (well half of it)

Thats really nice. I thought this thread was going to be a disaster when I saw the before pics with those horrible wheels on it but damn you've really done well, it looks tops. All it needs are the later white/red rear light clusters and its perfect. I love the alloys.

Love everything you've done, apart from the wheels. The black ones looked fantastic, but I agree that they were an inch too big. IMO you should have gone for the same/similar wheels but in 16" flavour. I kniw they are nice and light, but I'm not really keen on the OZs you have fitted :(

Like I said though, everything else is spot-on

That looks great, very tastefully done. Modding is welcome here, as shown with yours, but the usual hatches which have driven through Halfrauds, are not :p

:)

I thought the black wheels were absolutely horrible, very cheap looking. Imho black wheels need to be chunky

Nice looking, shame its all show and no go with that engine which looks to be an SOHC.

Also on a Honda Rota >>>>>>>>>>>> OZ.

Nice though.

The superleggra are in my opinion the best wheel for a black honda. Rotas are completely overated copies of stronger lighter wheels. Imho of course (and i actually have rotas on my own car!)

Looks very nice. Not OTT which is refreshing.

However the new wheels I am not too keen on although its not my car so I won't moan.

Hope you enjoy driving it.

Pfft your car sucks :p

p.s thats my bros car hehe.

Shocking the amount of money thats gone into it. Must admit its a nice ride as well. Definitely one of the better ones I've seen. Not overly done. Very understated in a sense.

I like it...apart from the red H.

Take it off....it's not a Type R.

:p

Yea that is at hermi-gait.

Thanks for the replies. Any suggestions on how to improve it further? (other than the rear red/clear 50/50 lights as i have always wanted them but they are quite rare)

I'd hardly say it's all show no go because of SOHC. DOHC isn't the king of all. It just makes things easier.
I've done as much (simpler) things as i could to pull out a bit of power out of the d16 (air intake/intake manifold/exhaust manifold/de-cat/exhaust). I wouldnt have tein coilovers or a short-shifter if i wasn't about performance. Also have a vtec head and gearbox sitting in the garage waiting to be fitted. Theres not a lot in it between mine and a stock b-series coupe.

I would pull out my huuuge mod list(not specific to engine) but i can't be bothered.

These d-series are also the better ones for boost, DOHC is overrated :P

Out of interest what is the rough cost charged for the detailing?
Shaun from Autoreflections does it for £20/hour.. Normally 5-6 hours or can quote depending on car (size). Well worth it, my friend booked in his dads brand new lexus to get done today. Shame it's raining so i guess it wont be happening.

not a big fan.

Needs a stanard grill, that exhaust removing and oem wheels. You also seem to be spending too much on a 1.6 civic coupe. Never sat in one but they were never rated very highly.
