My computer has all of a sudden gone "incredibly slow"

Sounds simlar to a virus I fixed on a mates pc recently

Would run really slowly and complain about a bad hard drive
Was picked up by his curta checker. I think he used avg

I put on malwarebytes and it fixed it

Perhaps mse isn't picking it up either ?

I downloaded malwarebytes and it found 3 viruses on a full scan, restarted my pc for no performance change

did you try running it in safe mode ?

that should prevent any viruses from interfering. then install and run malwarebytes in safe mode and see if it helps at all

I'll have to try it out later...I'm doing another malwarebytes scan!!! Completed a full scan in safe mode and it passed with no viruses detected ? No what!!

The bombing after 10 minutes seems to be not-uncommon. If it comes back, follow through on those links (some indicate they got solved to), ignoring your own one that comes up in the results of course

For the general slowness, make sure all of your cooling is working correctly for CPU and graphics, it may not be a virus but simply a fan packing up.

Well, I have a watercooling kit, and Idle, my cpu is about 22 degrees celsius and gpu 34 degrees celsius, on load, cpu hits about 40 degrees celsius and gpu hits 50 degrees celsius
