My computer has underclocked my processor?

Hello,

I recently bought a Gigabyte GA-EG41MF-US2H motherboard and i've successfully put a Xeon x5482 into it.

I had to mod the BIOS, but it's booting up and seems to be running fine.

However, I noticed that it's underclocked my processor to 2.66Ghz instead of the 3.2Ghz that it should run at.

Does anyone know why this would be the case?

EDIT: Here are some photos of my BIOS:

Interestingly, if I change the CPU host frequency from 333 to 400 (giving 400 x 8 =3.2GHz) the computer fails to boot. It resets itself back to 2.66Ghz again.

Also, 8 is the maximum CPU clock ratio.

I've added some screenshots of my BIOS. When my computer boots it says something like "Xeon x5482 running at 2.66Ghz" which is where I first noticed it.

I'm running linux, but i'll check in the BIOS if there's a High Performance setting.

Also, since I did the 775 to 771 mod to get it booting in the first place, this processor was never designed for the motherboard. I've done the mod before, and everything worked flawlessly (an x5460 and a ASRock P5B-DE), it's just this motherboard that's giving me grief.
