my computer problems

had a few problems with windows i reinstalled it and now the my computer option takes up to 10 min to open and when it does open it opens as if it is in a folder not the usual view is their any way to fix this easily? i am running xp pro by the way

Have you installed all of the drivers? Try uninstalling them or using a restore point, if not format the blighter and reinstall.

yup installed drivers etc -reinstalled windows again and now 'my computer' loads at normal speed but still in a folder view and not the usual partitioned look

in my computer, goto tools>folder options> and make sure the option "show common tasks in folders" is selected?
