My computer won't boot with a (d-link 7 port) hub connected?

My computer won't boot with a (d-link 7 port) hub connected? It just goes to a black screen with a little flashing underscore in the top left hand corner, any suggestions on how i can correct this?

Not sure. Could it possibly be trying to boot up off LAN? Just an idea. Try checking your startup order in your BIOS.

HDD is top yeah, and also when shutting down with it connected i get a warning just before the computer shuts off, 'can't write to memory location' or something, BECAUSE ITS A HUB YOU STUPID LAPTOP!

Is this a usb or network hub?

It's a usb powered hub. But surely that would affect the devices connected, not the booting of the computer?

welll strangly i just built a system for my neice and when i leave a usb key in when booting up it wont work cant get into windows. take the key out and boots fine. wierd.

I get that too - it tries to boot off the USB device. Can't find where to disable it either.

ASUS P5W Delux.

IT WORKS!?!?!

I accidentally left it in today and it worked, restarted a few times and it works, maybe updated drivers needed to be download (automatically) but i didn't do anything and now it works .
