Hi all i did have a thread about the lian-li case i bought but i thought i would be better off watercooling this case rather than the lian-li , more about my modding skills or lack of rather than the case itself .

I was originally going to mod a smaller case lian-li A05B but decided against that so installed components from my coolermaster cavalier in the lian-li and my second pc will be built in the cavalier , a quick rundown on the components being used - gigabyte g33m-s2 ( micro-atx was bought with the smaller case in mind so i may upgrade to a nice shiny asus later ) 2gb geil pc6400 - ati x1950 pro ( defo upgrading this when i can afford it ) - maxtor sata 320gb - pioneer dvd writer sata - etc .

The main weapon is a jigsaw that was my dad's + a drill etc .

I will be buying parts for this project over a month or so probably , because i cant afford everything at the mo but here is the fans i will be using , 2 for the rad - 1 at the back of the case - and 1 for the side panel .

I have ordered my rad and barbs and will get a rad grill soon aswell , i downloaded the template from the website and printed it then used it to have a measure up then went ahead and cut it out .

Next up blowhole for the side panel of the case .

This morning i got on with the blowhole for the side panel .

The 4 holes inside the circle are from the 80mm fan mount .

Cut out with the fan over it .

Had a trip to the local shops for some sanding pads - primer and paint .

And not long after i got back there was a delivery for me .

Now down to the sanding and wet & dry , even with a black and decker sander the paint didnt want to come off that easy :p but i got there in the end and now its ready for primer .

I will buy a grill for the blowhole and get a rad grill ordered this week .

Very nice mod so far. Will be watching closely as I have a Cava sat in the shed outside dying for a mod :D

Get that poor cava out of that shed :p you can tell from the inside of the case it was a budget case rather than top of the range but from the outside i think its a good case to look at and i only paid about 35 pounds if i remember rightly :D .

Another update , yesterday i wetsanded the primer gently and and got 2 thin coats of paint on and today put another 2 thin coats on the case .

I have no idea why the panels and case top look orange sort of colour because they are definitely red :p

Next up i think is another wetsand with 1500 grit paper then i hope the final coat of paint and then a couple of clear coats .

I saw an old wavemaster some where in red once with some "kill-bill" style black stripes down either side. Looked like the mutts nuts. That red seems to be really really nice so ill be happy to see how it turns out :) Not many good red cases around these days, and certainly not many mods for the colour. Keep it up :)

Thanks :) i think my digital camera is carp makes them look a naff colour :p , i doubt mine will be the mutts nuts but it should be good :D .

Not a lot has happened of late apart from a quick wetsand of the painted panels before 1 or 2 final coats of red however i did get my rad grillz this morning with some hose clips.

I am hopeful of some decent weather at the weekend so i can get the painting finished.

build a time machine, by the time you have tried and failed miserably, the project should be done and you wont have to wait :p
