i followed the car infront and didnt know it was no entry the road is not no entry just the runing right, the lights on the no entry sign werent working and you bcouldnt see them lit..

i went to court about 3 weeks ago and they gave me 3 points and a £110 fine!

just had a leter the other day saying i cant drive from monday so had to go buy a push bike lol

it just makes me angry when the coppers lie about there statements saying we were going stupid speed when we werent and other things that really annoys me !!

ah well test booked next month bring it on!!

tell me about it :( they accused me of doing 60mph+ in a 40 because I did 3 point turn in the road (legal i might add) and pulled away "rapidly"

took them to court; they lied; both officers statements contradicted each other; proved it was impossible given the facts they gave AND was STILL found guilty... the law can be such a dog sometimes

I hope you get some observation skills before you drive again. Many signs are not lit, doesn't mean you can just plain ignore them or not bother to look for them.

The amount of times I read of police lying in court is surprising.

They did it to me. In order to prove the car had been driven that particular night one said he put his hand on the bonnet of my car and it was hot - at the time I saw him do it and I did the same and it was cold!

hmm unlucky :(
Sadly as Fox says, many/most signs arent lit. They have a reflective backing that pics up light and are very easy to see at night. Hence, the lack of lighting is unlikely to be a valid excuse.

And as for following another car - would you follow it if it drove off a cliff?

Sorry to sound harsh...

yeah i did go through it i was following the car infront and they obviously knew it was no entry i didnt...

I will go get a pic of the bit as its really pathetic really its no entry for about 2 meters of road then the whole road going up is fine its just some of them weird stupid places where they stick no entrys for no reason, a few years ago they never used to be any no entry signs there!

lying coppers from a motoring perspective at least is on the rise. ONe of the guys on the GTR forum got stopped a while back (in a Gtst) and the copper accused him of a number of things including spinning the wheels at traffic lights/junction. To prove his point he puts his hands on the front wheels and claims they're really hot - the owner points out

a.)he's just had an engine rebuild and is keeping the revs below 4k
b.) Rear wheel drive cars have some problems spinning the fronts

Other copper can't stop himself laughing so they leave him alone. Far too many gits in traffic now
