My D drive has disappeared!

I Just logged onto my laptop today and went to "my computer" and my second hard drive (d drive) is not showing up on the screen anymore...it's completely gone!

How do i get it back?

Go under Control Panel, then System and Security, then click Create and format hard disk partitions. Can you see the second drive there?

@Orcvader NO it's not showing my D drive when i did what you asked.

Click Start menu, right click Computer and choose Manage.
Expand Disk Management.
Do you see your disk listed in there? Does it say anything next to it?
It's possible it has lost its letter, so just right click it and assign D back to it.

If you still can't get the D (yes, I am 12) after mrsnooch's suggestion, make sure it is listed in the device manager.

Ok so i opened up my laptop and disconnected the hard drive and then reconnected it...Now it shows up again. Phew!
