best way to save space and still game any suggestion would be great limited space can only just get keyobard and mouse on not enough space for the mousemat etc so would a gaming keypad be a good idea???
 
Uh, it'd be easier to help if you posted a pic of your desk. That way we could judge distances with our robot eyes.

But really. Maybe you could construct a platform for your monitor that would lift it off the desk so you could place your mouse and keyboard UNDER it?
 
Sorry to state the obvious, but couldn't you just buy a bigger desk or is room space a big issue?

To make more room on my desk I opted for a wall mount for my monitor...so perhaps a wall mount would help you.

Anyway, before I get any more bright ideas, post a pic of your "tiny" desk! :)
 
can't do that due to the window being there the main issue is the width tbh and also the desk is built into the room due to the room being small this was the best option i will definately post a pic so you guys can suggest ideas
 
A desk thats not big enough for both a keyboard and mouse mat isnt a desk, its a pick nick trestle.

Ive got visions of going back to school, and going "my god, those chairs are tiny".
 
Look at spotter300 post in this thread - just over half way down. i find this method saves space.

If you look he has an oversized mouse mat which his keyboard sits on as well. You can cut these mouse mats down to size so you can make them custom fit your desk.

My lads have one of those £30 square computer tables each from Ikea and they're really small, the only solution we have found is to buy a small to normal size keyboard (we all use Saitek Eclipses) and an oversized mouse mat cut to size.

Also if your desk like ours as one of those pull out shelves for your keyboard and mouse, don't use it and just use the top of the desk.
 
omg the problem has nothing to do with the monitor its the width of the desk its fine till a big post i could reach the other side of the post and use the mouse still just a problem just wanted to hear space saving ideas and also no if gaming keypads could help a lot

Consider buying a huge mousemat, something bigger than a razer mantis speed, perhaps everglide fnatic edition, and sit your keyboard ON TOP of it, then it allows you the space upto your keyboard and however much additional space there is to mouse it.
 
Just post a picture so we can see what you're dealing with as I have to admit your description is a bit confusing.

...so you have a tiny desk and a big post in the way, did I read that correctly??
 
Having looked at that, get yourself a high DPI mouse, and play on a low sens.

Grab yourself a cloth mat like a goliathus or similar, everglide titan, something like that, and play games at an angle....also angle the monitor, so you have the keyboard coming across the frolnt, and the mice in the far right corner of the desk.
