My disastrous D.I.Y. attempt! :(

im very much much like you but at least u tried :) i tried to partition my wardrobe 2 weeks ago totally cocked it up got a m8 from work to come round took him over 3 hours to sort the mess out :-/
 
hey :) at least your doing yours i half floored my loft 3 years ago with the intention of finishing it the next week

pop the loft hatch and theres 50-60 boards a big box of screws and a coffee cup still sitting there :)
 
HAHAHAH! Dude, you have made me laugh. You're like the Chuckle brothers! Absoloutely brilliant!

What does your misses say? Was she not mental about the other damage caused? Does she not long for a better man!?!?

Seriously though, unlucky fella, you tried, and you will hopefully learn from your mistakes. It's all part of the fairground ride of life. Have a go at the plastering and light yourself. The plastering is probably OTT and you could just do it with some filler, sand it down, and then pain over. Have you checked the cable for the bathroom light, in case you screwed through it?
