How.
Let me get this right, it was a vented disc, it looks like one side of the caliper has binded to the extent that the whole one side of the rotor face has worn down to the vanes. If they had gone any further im pretty sure the steps of each of the straight vanes would have destroyed the pads in a matter of miles.
How has anyone got disks looking worse than that.
Id sort your calipers out for an overhaul if i were you, its obviously wearing side of the disk more. Probably see an improvement in MPG once sorted too.
