Ive got a speedtouch 585, are all those CRC errors in the top right good or bad ?

Er, in a word, Yes. Especially as it seems you have only been on for 1hr 40min!

Looks like you are very much at the maximum your line can take, you could use the DMT Tool to up the SNR for your line, you will get a slower speed but should stop the CRC's at such a rate!

id take the slider up 2 notchies from where it is and test for a bit tbh a 7200 sync may see big improvments to the error count

Ok, just done that, and i loaded 1 webpage up, refreshed and this...

Errors
Received FEC : 0
Received CRC : 25
Received HEC : 18
Transmitted FEC : 0
Transmitted CRC : 0
Transmitted HEC : 0

:O ? :O ?

have you tried turning off things in the house to make sure it isnt anything electrical ruining it

The SpeedTouch 546 I'm "behind" at the moment:

Now I'm meant to be on ADSL2+ but as the red box shows I am on G922.1 which is ADSL and not ADSL2+ which should be G992.5 so is this the s/w reporting it incorrectly or do I need to ring my ISP to get it sorted.

As you can see from the screenie I am connected at 9.5MB which surely isn't possible on G922.1 as I thought the max it could connect at is 8MB

I'm currently using a speedtouch 510v6

any ideas?
