My Documents - Target folder location issue

One of my customers has a corrupted My Documents target on their desktop but I can not remember how to restore the function that shows the Restore Default option for this.

If you right click on My Documents then go to properties you can normally select Restore Default but those options are missing.

Any know of a fix, is it a reg setting that makes it disappear?

This is for XP by the way

Sounds like they maybe have been removed through group policy.

Yeah but I have access, but cant remember how to do it. Anyone know the reg for it?

GP will just overwrite it next time it refreshes.

If its done in GP it has to be undone there.

Its not a group policy, as the path is incorrect and corrupt, I just need to change it back to default. Then the group policy can have it again.
