Hi,

I have recently bought an E6300 with an Asus P5B Deluxe and 2GB Supertalent DDR2-800. Yesterday I decided to overclock a bit...I started pretty conservative and increased the 266 FSB to 300. test...pass! Then I went to 360 and again test...pass!. So, I went straight to 400 with a multiplier of 6x (2400). Test...pass but with increased temps and q-fan working very often (increasing-decreasing fan) My last attempt was to 7x400=2800 which also worked fine!!! From 1860 I went to 2800, without changing ANYTHING in the bios apart from the PCI-lock and of course the FSB. I am planning to play a liitle more...

I tried to increase the FSB above 400MHz and the system froze hard time! I suspected the memory but I am not sure since the increase was just 10MHz...

Ok, I increased the voltage to core and memory and now PC works fine!
I have hit 3150!! However there is something very very odd. At lower speeds my temp was at over 60C. Now at 3150 my temp is 54/55C even while running Prime 95. I also changed the q-fan control to performance. Could this be the reason? What is wrong? I am really confused...
