My experience with BF3 Beta FPS

Well there seems to be some confusion about the performance so I;ll post a vid, Just can't see how a HD6870 = GTX570 SLI OC'd in BF3 Beta.

I dont think its down to poor drivers/setup as I've monitored the GPU's usage and both are at 90-99% usage all of the time and running the correct clocks.

Maybe My vid will help other people to compare there system and judge roughly what performance they can expect.

I reckon this could be the case.

Unless the browsing system itself somehow caches the server info and takes the brunt of it (which I very much doubt) it must almost be like a denial of service attack if a lot of people are spamming the join button. Especially on the Caspian Border servers.

I think the web browse is a bad idea, because any cod fanboys or 4channers in the mood to annoy can do a denial of service attack on ea.battlelog.com and everyone wont be able to play battlefield 3.

lol if ultra does not work in beta, then with my system i am only getting 50fps average on "ultra". So in full game if i switch to ultra it will lower fps? thats sucks! time for SLI?

Am I missing something here? I'm running an I5-2500K @stock, 8GB DDR3, 6870 1gb @stock and I am running this at 60FPS with everything maxed out on Ultra.

What was with all this nonsense about needing two 580's?

Yet more evidence of people pushing BS around to justify their unecessary purchases.

I have everything on ultra and 1920x1080 res, evga 570 2560mb.


I can get 70fps when in the tunnels, outside or when you go up the stairs to the train station it drops to 35-50

He probably didn't restart the game after changing his settings from medium to "ultra" which itself isn't even fully implemented apparently.
