will this be used for gaming only?
as an i5 2500k with 4gb ram is plenty enough.
at that price point for the 6870, you can get a 2gb HD6950
cooler - antec kuhler 620
psu - lepa b-series 750w
mobo - asrock z68 extreme4
ram - 4gb 1600Hz xms3
cpu - i5 2500k
case - maybe a silverstone raven or corsair 600t

certainly did. will be much better than what he has in the OP despite your advice because the OP wants a system that can do photoshop and other CPU intensive stuff, not just gaming
