My First build, Advice!

that is a nice build but my budget tops out around £1000, i won't be using both monitors for gaming, just the one with a second for other stuff. what makes the other motherboards better than the g1 sniper?

If your going with a ATX build I would go with the G1, if its the mATX version I don't think the price difference is really worth it. I can redo the build and cap at it at 1k, are you intending to go with your original case and a ATX build, it would make things easier tbh.

yes it will be an ATX build in that case, will be used as a gaming system with 2 monitors however only 1 monitor for gaming, thanks for your help!

Np, I couldn't find the case you liked so I sub'd it for a really nice one, went with a 280x, I like it more then the 770, it has a bit more ram so well help and has a free copy of BF4.

that is a nice build, i was going with the 770 windforce 4gb, i hear they are similar cards but decided to go nvidia, the place i will be buying from gives me a copy of the new assasins creed so that's a bonus too. i went for the 4gb due to the dual monitor set up. at that price the card is very good, so may have to re-consider! thanks for your help :)

Also are these graphics cards a little over kill? i will only be playing at 1920 x 1080, if i can get a better value card i will

going to throw a spanner in the works here and re evaluate my situation, this build will probably be only used for gaming, no over clocking or anything like that, what, in your opinion is the best bang for buck system in the minute? under £1000 would be great and even pre built systems with benchmarks that i can build a similar system to would be even better. thanks for all your help it's really appreciated!

Would still suggest a 4670k even if you don't intend on overclocking now, will leave you an option to in the future if you find the system is starting to slow.

From the spec in your post #29 you can save money(on top of the gpu and ram I already suggested) by going for a cheaper CPU cooler(can get a decent air cooler for like half the price of the liquid cooler you chose). Can also go for a cheaper motherboard tho the one chose has very good on board sound.

i really don't like big chunky coolers so that's my main reason for the cooling option, there are cheaper watercooling all in ones but i don't know weather to trust them

Are you getting this from elsewhere?
The faster ram I linked to is also cheaper than the one you mentioned, no idea who the oem is of the fractal psu but would say go with seasonic/antec/superflower psu.

i will be getting some of it from but all over really, i will be going with the ram you linked from here and the fractal psu will be replaced with a superflower from here as well but it's a similar psu to the one i want. i was thinking about getting the noctua NH-L9i cooler if i didn't go with water cooling.
