My first Build before i click 'BUY'

Any heads up for me on my first time build?
Is there a bottleneck in my build btw?
Also will my heatsink fit with the motherboard, regardless to it CPU being surrounded by sink itself - also the lenght between the CPU-RAM slots?

Components-wise, it's good, but you can save a bundle overall.

I wouldn't bother with a Caviar Black and get a Seagate or F3.

Not sure about the fan controller and extra fans. IMO, I would try without, then it's something you can add on later if it's too noisy, too hot.

On that subject, I would probably pick up another motherboard, like a P8Z68-V, which has better fan tweaks (case and CPU fans) than the GD65.

And of course a cheaper PSU, equally good if not better (TX650V2, Antec TP-650). The HCG620 is great BTW, still a Seasonic unit, like the two others, and Antec is reputable.

And a CM 690 II Lite if not in budget, or change case to a Lancool PC-K62.

I would get a Gelid Tranquillo if you are concerned by the noise.

For the GPU, fair enough. It's not a bad card.

Honestly I keep my computer on nearly 24HRS and noise honestly doesn't bother me i can probably sleep throw a hurricane, i actually sleep with music on in general - I generally would prefer a good cooling system. The fan controller i dont know it seem pretty sweet just a personal bonus to my system.

"P8Z68-V, which has better fan tweaks (case and CPU fans)" what do you mean if i have a fan controller well 4 channel should i say i wouldn't really need that anyway why wouldn't my current one have exactly the same features? Also Asus i have read and heard a lot of bad **** with there boards and the MSI i haven't heard just as much bad press from users and raters as Asus :)

IMO the money is better spent elsewhere, but as you wish. The Gelid is known for its quietness, and also performance.

The Asus has 2 CPU fan connectors (for things like a Silver Arrow, or push-pull CPU cooler), two chassis fan connectors (PWM or VC controlled, meaning 4 pins or 3 pin connectors), and two extra connectors for 3 pin fans.

What I mean is this btw.

AFAIK the GD65 has no way of controlling the system fan speed.

You can tweak fan speeds and behaviour in the bios. However, I don not know if it applies if your fan are 3 pin (VC regulated).

Haven't heard much about the P8Z68-V. You also have the AsRock Z68 Extreme 4, very similar board in terms of features. There's the Gigabytes as well (some of them look very well featured), do not know if they allow you to tweak your fan speed.

Note that the 600T has a built in fan controller. Much more expensive case though. The white 600T is really nice looking. Between that and a 690 II advanced + fan controller... Don't know for sure :)

You will be nowhere near the limit. Expect 350W, maybe 420W unrealistic load (Furmark + prime95). Not something you want to do anyway.

650W is a good all purpose number for single GPU. Would power up to a 480 / 580 GTX.

PSUs (good ones) come will all sorts of over-current protections, they will shut down under extreme load.

I read that over-powering your system can fry it how certain can i be that i wont fry my system with a 600Watt power-supply?

It will only use what it needs plus a little used up converting into different voltages. only thing with getting a too powerful psu it will be less efficient if only using 40% the power compared to using a smaller one at 80%

You asked if there were any bottlenecks, well the mechanical HDD is a big one! Can you shift any of your parts budget onto an SSD? :)

SSD expensive -_- my music, software, and video's would take up the amount of space of an SSD i would be willing to spend for one. Unless i get two SSD and a HDD put the operating system on the SSD and media onto the HDD but i dont think that a good idea.

Its true the price can be a ptretty brutal deciding factor. As for putting the operating system on an ssd and media on an hdd that's actually what most people do! Its a good idea considering how ssds are relatively small... Programs and the OS get a lot of benefit from being on an SSD, large media files not so much however.
