basically ive been gaming on a laptop that is seriously struggling , I have put this basket together and am set on buying it all but just want some pointers if I can get anything better without maxing the £550 mark.
thanks in advance !

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £564.95 (includes shipping: £14.10)

good advice , ive adjusted the basket now and its just in my budget !
regarding a hdd I thought if I'm not storing loads of games at a time then 120gb would be enough?
ill just load windows 10 from usb hopefully how much space will windows 10 take on the SSD?

Agree with the advice of a cheaper case. Any will do for now, to allow you to get the best bang for buck. You can always get yourself a fancier case in the future and transfer the stuff over.

Also, the motherboard is not compatible with Intel 8th Gen processors. You need one of these for 8th Gen: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pc-c...intel/lga-1151-h310-b360-h370?spage=1&ssort=3

but you should go with this value bundle from amd with a free 240gb ssd:

The PSU, despite being 450W, provides more power on the +12v rail (420W) than that Kolink KL-500M (360W) so grab it instead.

About 20GB. Disable Hibernation after you install to free up a few GBs. You can also uninstall some Windows apps that you may not need.

wow the amd bundle is amazing, I worried about issues with ryzen as ive heard of bios problems. also with that ryzen build that is equally or more powerful than the i3 build?

you guys are awesome btw :) thanks

Gigabyte did run into an issue with shipping wrong stock, but sent in staff to correct the issue... Pants down moment there !

Also delete older version of Windows ! Can take up 40GB of space !

Ryzen 1600 traded blows with 8100 so 2600 should have the edge with games, for multi tasking , 12 threads of ryzen to 4 intel .(stock and 1080p)

This would be my suggestion - the slightly weaker CPU allows you to get a 3GB 1060 instead of a 1050ti and also a tempered glass case. Granted it's slightly over your budget, but this will net you the most performance in my opinion. If you wanted to save some cash, drop the case for one in the clearance section - there is a Bitfenix Nova in there for 15 quid which is an amazing case for the price albeit slightly boring - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/b-grade-bitfenix-nova-midi-tower-case-black-bg-092-bx.html

The 1060 3GB is around on par with a GTX 980, much better than a 1050ti. My other half currently has a 980 overclocked to 1500mhz with a Ryzen 1200 at 3.5GHz and there is very little to no bottlenecking so a Ryzen 1400 will be fine with a 1060 3GB. Because AM4 is supported for a few more years yet, you could easily drop in a 2nd hand 8 core next year for around 100 notes.

Gets my vote.. :)
Dunno why people are pushing that 2600 bundle (which is a great deal btw) as stated before there is no guarantee that the processor will work on that board out of the box.
I had the ryzen 5 1600 until very recently, a formidable processor :)

That bundle was always supposed to work out of the box as OcUK had specifically asked for boards with updated BIOS. Gigabyte made a booboo in sending some non-updated boards but have now rectified that by sending staff to OcUK to flash the boards that needed it.

This should do the job fine AFAIK - also OP,if you shop around there are deals for the RX580 4GB which price it similar to the GTX1060 3GB.
