RIZZE they are normal, infact they are pretty good! you may want to consider overclocking your i7, especially with the cooler you have!

Also RIZZA, out of curiosity, if you put all the 1200's fans on high, and take a realtemp screeny after 5min of the CPU, what are the temps? ive always wondered!

Makes a decent difference to the VDDC temps on your GPU. If I were you I'd do a couple of profiles in ATI CCC so that your GPU fan speed can be easily and quickly increased for gaming as that card is gonna run very hot!

Here's a thread about temps on the 4870X2 and a description of how to set profiles in the Catalyst Control Centre.

thing is i cant get ati ccc to work in windows 7, or ive done something wrong..
right click and click on ati ccc, then nothing happens
cant find it in the start menu search thingi either..sorry new to windows

You could try Ati Tray Tool then - loads of peeps here recommend it over the CCC anyway and I'm sure it has similar features.

just downloaded that now, when i try to run it, comes up with

Yeah, make sure you have the latest drivers and also that DirectX is up to date.

but damn that poor G4...I am glad u are no longer using it...lol...I got all the fans in my 1200 set to high along with the fan on the 4870 X2 set to 65%, you would think it was ready for take off lol...

well, the G4 wanst bad, really old but hardly ever crashed and seemed to do most things i needed it to

actually the noise is rather calming for me...dont ask why...but when u have as many PCs as I do...u get use to the noise lol...

I have the same cooler on my 920, can get it to 4ghz (HT off) with the temps just under 80c.
