Hello all,
On July 19th I will be doing my FIRST Bungee Jump. This is for charity, and all funds will be going to Action For Children.
I have always wanted to do a bungee jump, and what better way to do it than bungee jumping from the 225ft structure of the Middlesborough Transporter Bridge! I am posting this to basically bum some cash from you, not for me of course, but for my chosen charity.

About us
Action for Children is committed to helping the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK break through injustice, deprivation and inequality, so they can achieve their full potential.

A proud heritage
We have been working with the UK’s most vulnerable children since 1869. Find out more about our history.
We were originally called the National Children’s Home, or NCH, until September 2008 when we changed our name to one that better describes what we do and what we value – Action for Children.

Passionate about potential
We believe all children and young people have unique potential and that they should have the support and opportunities they need to reach it.
Action for Children helps nearly 170,000 children, young people and their families through nearly 450 projects across the UK. We also promote social justice by lobbying and campaigning for change.

Changing lives
Today, Action for Children is the leading UK provider of family and community centres, children's services in rural areas, services for disabled children and their families, and services for young people leaving care.
We provide services in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and we also support work in Southern Africa, the Caribbean and Central America.

Anyway, enough of that, any and all donations can be made to my Just Giving page at

Even though its only March, And July is 4 months away, I would like to raise as much as possible. My target donations are only £100, and I believe I can get a lot more!

In 2005 I abseiled from the Baltic Flour Mill on Gateshead quayside, I raised £240 for the RNIB and I would like to beat this! Please donate as little as you want, even a quid will do, it is very much appreciated and you will get my and my charities thanks!

Good luck for this. I might see if I can spare a bit.
The minimum donation is only £100, and I believe I can get a lot more.
I might be inclined to change your wording, there, though - that's your target ... saying it's the minimum donation makes it sound like I've got to give you >=100

Best of luck buddy - more than happy to donate, as these great OCUK guys did me wonders for my Cystic Fibrosis skydive... but it'll have to be May, as i've donated hundreds upon hundreds over the next couple of months for the Marathon in April!

Looks awesome mate, good luck.

I have never managed a Bungee jump for some reason, jumped out of a plane for a sky dive though! I think it has something to do with actually being able to see the floor before jumping :)

Been up to the top a crane, went to jelly and buckled. That's as far as I got :)

Got the ball rolling for you, good luck with it! And pics or even a video are a must!

Cheers! Much appreciated. I will be getting a DVD / Pics when im there (£15 for the video :o) so dont worry, there WILL be proof!

Im really looking forward to it :D.
