My first collision...

Thanks guys, this thread has made me feel a lot better about it, it is afterall only a bit of paint.

I'll post some pictures up tomorrow, its going dark now, then you can see the damage for yourselves. (exciting for you I know)

Credit to Boycie for taking a chavmobile off the roads for the price of some headlights though, they should have been free along with a medal for services to road users :D

Wasn't very nice at the time but it was a text book vikky pollard 'Oh my god i like so can't believe you hit my car was you not lookin or summin' :D

Just had a go at the bumper with my neighbours bottle of "smart cut" (i think thats what it was called anyway) I was quite suprised, quite a lot of the scratches have rubbed out quite easily.

There are a couple of deeper ones that will need to be rubbed down a couple of times, might go and buy some t-cut tomorrow as thats a bit stronger I beleive, and its always been good in the past.

Assuming they come out ok after a few attempts, then that leaves 2 little nicks where it has gone right down to the paint. So I might be able to touch those up.

This might jsut cost me a touch up kit and a bottle of T-cut to put right afterall.

Can’t be worse than mine! A couple of weeks after I passed my test I gave some mates a lift into town at night and tried to reverse park outside a club, a club with a very large queue. All was going well until I heard loud crunch, turns out I had reversed into a bloody parking meter that I didn’t even notice. Smashed the rear light cluster on my mums Punto, felt light an absolute ****

Wait till you get Hit by whitevan man failing to stop at a roundabout and hitting your car spinning you backwards into a oncoming dual carrageway.

now thats a harsh reality check :p took a bit more than T-cut glad your car isnt as bad as you thought, nice touch up stick should do the trick

That sounds pretty damn nasty!! White van man failed to stop after all of that? Probably stolen or not insured, no licence or something like that was it?

Yer im glad it wasnt as bad as first thought. Cleaning up the paintwork gives me a project I suppose :p

My mum hit the end of an arnco barrier in her old Nissan Bluebird at about 10mph on the upramp of a multi storey car park. The barrier end was sharp and didn't have a rounded off end peice.

It was amazing what damage it did. Like cutting through a soft drink can.

About 6/7 months after passing my car test I bumped my mums golf. It happened on our own driveway. We have a drive we put in between a tree and a concrete lamp post and I used to throw the car on there quite easily. One night I thought i'd take it easy. I ended up scraping it down the lamp post really slowly and it was one of those situations that id gone so far and no matter where I moved I would have to finish the job good and proper, about a week before it was due to be traded in!

Still got good money for it though and I trashed the rear quarter, which for a 3 door is big and expensive to fix.

He didnt stop at the roundabout just driven right into my back wheel at 40mph and it destroyed my cars allow causing my car to do about 720 while travelin at about 30 then rolled backwards onto a oncoming dual carrageway.

after all that he ghad a bust up front end. man that was scary lol
