My first custom build look ok

Would like you opinions on my first build


Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
EVGA nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS
OCZ 2048MB DDR2 PC7200 Special Opps [SOE] Edition Dual Channel Kit
Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 320GB 7200RPM SATA II 16MB
500W Tagan TG500W-U25 Power Supply
Thermaltake Soprano VB1000SWS Silver Window

will be using the asus 22" monitor with it does anybody have anything sim what can i expect from it performance wise.

If you don't get massive performance increase, I will shoot fishdude in the head.
 
Plus I’d check the GTS will fit into that case. It probably will but its better to be safe than sorry. My GTS *only just* fit into my coolermaster case.
 
I *think* the Soprano has very similar dimensions to my Tsunami, which can only just fit a 7900GTO in (blocking 2 of 5 hard drive bays). So I'd be tempted to say it won't fit in.

As for the PSU, if you're looking to add a further card in the future, you want to be looking at 600W+, the Corsair probably being the best around at the moment :)

Thanks for that link, good reference. The GTS looks about the same length as my GTO in the picture they give, probably taking out the middle hard drive slots.
