Well I ordered myself an SSD last week after months of putting it off and expecting prices to drop drastically (they probably will now I've bought one).
I decided on an Intel 320 series 120GB. The reason I didn't go for a SATA3 drive is because I'm still currently running an SATA2 only motherboard. When I do come to get a board that has the feature, SATA3 drives are likely to be better/cheaper than they are currently.
Not to mention the fact that 320's are arguably the best and last iteration of SATA2 SSD's, second to none reliability and 5 year warranty were big reasons why I bought this. The fact it was £3 cheaper than an OEM version was a bonus!
Anyway, on to the good stuff!
Now I've heard a lot from people on here saying how drastic the speed is of an SSD in comparison to a mechanical drive. I was a bit worried I might be getting too hyped in anticipation for this to arrive...
I was wrong, I've never experienced such a large jump in general system speed with a single component change. It's most certainly a game changer!
