well i finally remembered to check if 9.4 was out, it was, so decided to upgrade.

Obviously i've had a new PC lately but thought it'd still be ok.

When it's running the initiating sequence it stop a third of the way through (top bar) and just hangs. I went and watch some tv for almost an hour and it still never moved. Tried this twice and the same results.

Anyone know if this is a known issue or how to fix it?

i've normaly never had any problems before.

now i'm receiving a message in safe mode stating "failed to load detection driver"

can anyone help with this?

It's not letting me install any CCC or Display Drivers for my 4870.
It gets to the stage where it is analyzing but hangs. I left it for four hours today and still nothing. uninstalled CCC through driver sweeper. didn't work so had to use system restore.

I've removed .Net framework and reinstalled. update C++.
run in safe mode still no joy so other than doing a complete reinstal of Vista i'm not sure what to try next

cheers for the replies guys really appreciate it.

Wilderbeast, i hadn't seen that one before so i shall try that tonight.
If it doesn't work i shall do a fresh install as if it doesn't work for 9.4 it wont work on 9.5.

i had also tried 9.1, 9.2 & 9.3 with the same result.

fingers crossed i can get this to work.

well i've sorted it.

went into add/remove programmes and the only option for ATI was repair.

Pressed this once. Appeared to do nothing so pressed again.
I then highlighted ATI again and now ther was an option to change or repair.
pressed change and an install manager popped up with: Uninstal specific parts, Repair or Uninstall everything.

So i pressed repair and it ran through repairing the registry and everything else which was wrong.

Tried CCC 9.4 again and guess what :D:D it worked

thank crunchie for that
