try 311 x 9,this should give you 2.8GHz,i think your voltage is ok for 2.8 as mine is running at 3GHz on same voltage .

cheers chief - just before i start... is this relatively safe to do? ie. if it kills it, i can just reset bios?

oh, and that CPU/PCIex sync, or async?

and ram timings.. what is that crazy thing about?

if your Pc fails to boot into windows at 2.8 then just go in small steps until you reach a stable OC using the same voltage.

as for the CPU/PCIe i dont know about that sorry, set your ram to run at 2.00 or 2.5,that way it wont put to much stress on your memory

ha, i give up already

i set it to 300 to begin with
restarted, showed 2.7ghz
wouldn't get past bios
restarted again, showed 2.99ghz (?!)
wouldn't get past bios
reset cmos
reset computer, wouldn't boot
reset computer, everything in blue
dvi cable had come loose

oh, computer is up a ladder in the attic.
i'm knackered.
and leaving OCing well away!
