Hey all

Just doing my first overclock at the moment.

ASRock 939 DualSATA2
3700SD
X800XT-PE

I've got the 3700 @ 2.7 stable, with stock volts  Seems pretty good for this motherboard. Gonna try for 2.8 soon :p

Not really a thread for help, but more of a supprise to myself.

Guess its a good clocking chip

Meh

Ohh that aint bad on stock volts! I would see how far you can get on stock and maybe even add a bit more juice to go even higher!!!!!! :p

Sounds like you got a good chip. I had to raise the vCore on my X2 4400+ from 1.35 to 1.50 to get my 2.6GHz OC, whereas someone else on these forums have got 2.7GHz on stock volts!

Well, i've had to come back to 2.7 now, seemed it didnt like 2.8. Apparently i'm going to need a custom bios for this motherboard to up the voltage.. so i'll look into it soon :p

Pretty much the same as me :p 2.8 at 1.4 volts aint stable enough, there is a volt mod for the Asrock to let you go to 1.55v I am sure but I aint looked into that yet.

If you crank up the voltage that high you might want to consider a better cooler. No only does the processor heat up but so does the PWM ICs.

I dont think i'll increase the voltage until i get a new cooler methinks. I think 2.7 is fine till then

Very informative.

Temps @ mhz/volts might help man.

What?

I aint asking for advice or help, all I said was that the Dual Sata mobo only goes to 1.4 volts, if you want more then you can volt mod it. I already had my thread for oc this chip, I know my temps are fine :) Then someone quoted me saying I need better cooling but its the op that is running the stock cooling not me, sorry for the confusion....
