Iv been busy today building my first ever water cooling setup.
In fact its the first time I have ever modded, water cooled, over clocked etc.
So please let me know what you think of the HUGE thing Iv built.
I dont know much about the kit Iv installed as I got it 2nd hand of that auctions site.I do know this much....
D-Tek Fusion V2 cpu block, one 240 rad plus one 120 rad (I plan to put a gpu block between them when I can afford it),Huge 18" res and a thermaltake 450lph pump, all connected with 1/2" pipes and filled with feser one fluid.
While I was at it I fitted a XIGMATEK Porter CN881 Chipset Cooler and loads of 120mm and 140mm fans, all stuck into a HUGE server case that I resprayed.I just need to get some fan grills to finish it off.

And now just a couple of questions....
If any one knows what make the res is I would be greatful.
Iv fitted some cold cathode tubes to make the most of the uv reactive fluid but it doesnt glow at all. What type of lighting do I need to make it glow ?.
Can any one point me to some advice on overclocking my E6320 as I have no idea where to start (after all the building it would be a shame not to clock it)

Any advice or comments on the build would be most welcome.
Cheers
Si

As Monkey Puzzle says you need UV cathodes to make your Feser one glow like a a rapists teeth in a dark alley :D

The make of your res is EK, its an EK multi option res a OMG its huge!!!!

Are your Rads hidden in the other side of your case? Theres so much room it looks empty

Hi Monkey Puzzle, your right it is very roomy ;)
As for the knife books...well I make knives for a hobby...Take a look at www.sgknives.com
Iv ordered some uv tubes,my mistake,I thought cold cathodes were all uv
Hi ConTRo13R,thanks for the info on the res,yes it is huge and yes the rads are in the other compartment along with the psu, hard drives and dvd roms.Theres room for around 20 hd's and the same amount of cd/dvd roms :D
The old case looked over crowded but as you say it looks soo empty and the mobo looks puny :D.
Iv had a go at overclocking it and managed to get to 2.7g but now I wish I hadnt scimped on the ram (5300).Time to buy some 1066 and get past 3g.
The temps are stupid...24c idle and 43c useing prime95 and the mobo is about 31c.
Does any one know where I can get a cool 140mm fan guard ?

Cheers

Haha, it is indeed roomy!! Looks alright! Like others have said, its an EK res, but never seen one that big, thats ridiculous  haha

not sure where you can get a 140mm guard, dont think Ive ever seen one  Most are just 120mm, you may have to make/mod your own.

I skimped on RAM when I originally built it too lol, buying some quality stuff is definately worth it when overclocking, meant I could get my cpu right upto 4.3 (had been stuck at about 3.7 before)

Ducky Spud your right,I cant find a good quality 140mm guard any where so I will make my own.
I thought the res was big but being new to water cooling I wasnt sure.Iv put 1Ltr of feser in the system and I recon about 3/4 of that is in the res.On the plus side there are 2 120mm fans blowing right onto the res so I guess that makes it a res/rad :D
Im going to get some kingston hyperX from oc asap.
In the mean time Im off to find some templates and some spray paint to tart up the outside of the case, then its handles, military switches...etc etc...just got to keep the credit card statment away from the misses ;)

Cheers
