I'm trying to find the phone number of Mellow Accountants, based in Bromsgrove, or its director Lee Kirby.

Can find annual reports and addresses etc but no phone number. Starting to think they just don't have a phone...

I'd have to agree with you, a lack of company website / facebook / or linkedin info or any information bar an address seems to be all I can find.

Yeah think you're right. B61 0PQ looks like a house anyway which is their latest registered address.

Basically we're getting mail redirected from B45 8NG, which looks like their old address, to our house in Bristol. The roads or postcodes aren't similar at all apart from the postcode starting with a B so not sure how it's happened. Like real personal stuff, statements from banks and pensions etc. I could write to their new address but that's a lot more faff than calling/emailing and I don't really want to post my contact details to a stranger without qualifying it's actually him first.

What about contacting http://www.icaew.com/

If the accountants are chartered then the accrediting body might be able to get in touch or give you an up to date contact number.

In this case do the back of the envelope not have a returns phone number. Especially a bank if you could phone them explain it's being delivered to the wrong place they could possibly track them down. It is starting to seem slightly sinister this whole ordeal. Yet another reason to let the bank know they have the wrong address in case they come collecting some money.

Just a thought as it's not worth risking it IMHO as it has definitely happened in the past.

EDIT : The reason i say it seems sinister

You start getting post belonging to an accounting company, that does not have an office, no contact details anywhere for all purpose they don't exist. And the only address other than yours seems to lead back to a house.

Just doesn't seem like the sort of behavior to expect from an accountant.

2 businesses both registered at dwellings?

Dodgy.

It's not the fact that they are in as you say dwellings, there is nothing wrong with running a company out of a house. It's just the way everything seems to have clipped together where OP is getting letters from a bank from an accounting firm that is harder to get contact details for than Mi6.

I would contact the companies but frankly I don't have time, we've already got loads from a whole host of companies and businesses. The address they're being redirected from is the company's old registered address and they started arriving around the same time the address was changed via Companies House so it looks more like a mistake than anything dodgy. Plus why would someone choose to get their pension statement redirected to someone else's house?*

I'm guessing the accountancy company is just for being a contractor or something hence no public face or contact details.

* I opened one by mistake because I actually receive redirected mail all the time for my dad as he lives overseas and the original address is normally fully masked so there's no way of telling unless it's got the person's name on, which this didn't. It was a full KPMG staff pension statement including his balance, DOB, account number, yada yada.
