My GPU has suddenly started making massive vibrations and crazy amounts of noise!. It's hellishly loud. I only bought it December. Asus Strix 390x

Oh. My. God...

What the hell?!?

There is a fan blade missing!!!! Seriously??
How on earth could it possibly loose a fan blade inside a case?!?!?!?
I was playing doom and just after the cyberdeamon it started the vibration. Fair enough the fans were running hard but how on earth could a blade come off?! I though ASUS were good!

I assume this is covered by warranty??? I don't want to be without a card for a while though . Can replacement fans be bought. I'm actually speachless. I was always sticking up for ASUS too!

It's covered by warranty i imagine. It could have been a really small crack that went unnoticed that under stress got bigger until it broke.

You will find it very difficult to get a replacement fan. Anyhow asus dont allow GPU dis-assembly I dont think.

I would RMA it. Asus should be OK.

Have you ever seen this before??
I'll bet the fans were running close to 90%. Doom always ran them really hard. Even though frames were very good.

No matter the fan speed it should not happen. My mate broke his by stupidly touching it while it spun. He thought it had stopped :D:D:D. I don't think this is uncommon. I have seen a few threads where people were asking about replacement fans due to a fin breaking.

Wouldnt I return it to OCUK? that's where I bought it. Looking at it I think I could replace it easily. Only the screws holding the heatsink directly on the GPU have tamper proof paper.

Asus are a nightmare for RMA and before your Ninja edit, you was quite correct. Took me 6 weeks with one of my original Titans to get it replaced.

You send it to OcUK who then send it on to Asia for testing.

Testing? Lol. I don't think it requires testing. A picture paints a thousand words and all that...
