purchased a raptor (sata) the other day to replace my old samsung (ide) im trying to format it using lots of different apps like WD life guard (which was the first thing to touch the hard drive and tryed to cop over everything from old to new but the app crashed near the end of copying), windows formating (but that just ssems to crash computer freezes for along time nothing moves left it for 4 hours just to make sure), partiton magic (when it try to format each time i get and error saying device not visible on boot) and acronis but that at first would see the hard drive tryed to clone over old to new did with errors i was silly and didnt even try booting with new drive, after this trying to use acronis to re-do clone i got message 1. defrag source drive 2. not enough space on new drive, and also with the windows format utility it only sees my new hard drive as havin 32mb of space :S and also the weirdest thing is everything everytime i restart comp the hard drive either disaperas or apears as 32 mb or as 138 gb on the boot screens my im shown what sata devices are connected but again it differs every restart sometimes it say 32mb pio 4 or 139gb udma 6 or 140***mb (and i think udma 6) really need help with this plz!!
