Not having needed cot sides for over seventy years, I find it far easier staying in bed than falling out of it. Thanks for the kind thoughts though.

I called 111 earlier and had a chat over the phone, was told to pop into the ER if my symptoms got any worse.

The cut on my forehead seemed a lot worse than it was given the amount of blood, I legitimately thought I'd need stitches when I initially did it. I've a mild headache now but I'm otherwise fine par the obvious soreness and a couple of lumps. Just one of those stupid weird freak accidents that can happen, of all the places you expect something like that to happen your own bed is probably low on the list.

I'm only 40!

Take caution, as it CAN happen.. thankfully it missed my eye by mere centimeters and hit the bone just under my eyebrow. Had a painful lump for a week.

Ah same. Picture the scene... whipping up a storm in the kitchen with 3 saucepans on the go. Mrs happy in the garden whilst I take care of the cooking. A couple of beers have been consumed. Life is good. Suddenly, you bend in for a close look at the bottom of the pan to check the sauce isn't sticking aaannnndd BAM! Headshot. Floored by the corner of the extractor fan again.
