This log will be a carryover from the spec me a highend build thread.

About 6 months ago i decided to get back to PC Gaming. I originally planned to buy a highend pre built rig(8 pack or ocuk), but i ultimately decided to build it on my own. Having only built one pc prior i was nervous to take on such high end components on my own, but with a lot of youtube videos and the help of overclockers im sure ill be fine.

Another obstacle ill have to overcome is that i will be watercooling my rig, another thing i have to do loads of research on as i have no experience of any kind with watercooling.

After doing some

Parts ordered(all form overclockers)

On top of the total for the components and case i have been close to £1000 on waterooling parts ie (blocks, pumps, res, rads, fittings, and all necessary tools.

Case is a beast, although will you be also housing an ITX system ? Might be a bit over kill if not, and some other smashing cases that could show off your water rig better like Li lians new classed cases ( still match the price tag if not more ).

Are you thinking about hard tubing or soft ?

Might also be a slower way but with that case you could break up the water cooling to a CPU loop and GPU loop. Doing the CPU first would be a good start for practice

Ill be using Petg, I was going to run to the gpus first as it would make my run cleaner, should i go cpu first?.

Makes no difference really, water temps equalise throughout the loop so you don't see any real-world benefit in specific loop orders or putting a radiator between components. The only thing you need to make sure of is the pump is fed directly by the res (and even then that's belt-and-braces to ensure the pump is fully loaded up).

Same goes with restriction. It doesn't matter where the most restrictive block in the loop resides, it's still in the loop somewhere.

Should fit fine. Manual should tell you if not. Until someone can double confirm, quick read . no rush :)

Also check to see if your CPU 8 pin or 8/4 pin fits, sometimes rads block it and you need to install and route that first, then fit the top rad :)

**** just noticed that. I think i may have to take rad off to fit them dont know if should mount my fans or top op my case as theres space up top, just like the look of them being in the case.

Or i could get a slimmer radiator, so many little things i havent accounted for..

Having second thoughts about 1 pump/res combo, do you guys thinks that will have enough flow.

going from pump/res to bottom rad/ to 2 1080ti's/ to cpu/MB block/ to top rad/ to top rad/ back to pump/red
 
Another thing ive noticed is that i cant install all my motherboard screw to the atx bracket, will this be a problem, ive installed 8, but the middle one is under the block

No worries mate, trust when I say we've all done it. Its new toy syndrome, just want to fit it all in a see how it looks :)

Should be fine, just take care when ever removing GPU, but should be always to be honest , not yanking the thing out .

Personally with just a large case to fill, and a budget to match, I could go two loops for aesthetic, or dual pump for single loop, also provides redundancy for all that expensive gear ! And again, look awesome. EK do a Double D5 pump combo .

Plumbing in two loops will also allow you to set up the CPU first, see how you get one and use the cards on air. Then switch them to water .

Key thing again, don't rush and take your time :)

Started running my loop today. was stressfull and hard going, but by the end i felt far more comfortable bending the petg tubing

Question - Will the 90 degree bend at the top right weaken with waterflow, i wanted bend it myself but my 500mm petg isnt long enough, plus i like the way it looks now with the 90 degree fitting

in the 3rd picture i used one of the pass throughs in my thick radiator to install a drainport. will this work?

The 90 degree fitting will not weaken with use, i used a load of 90 degrees in my build ( in my sig link ) and they are solid.

Yes, the drainport will work fine from the rad, assuming that is the bottom rad, which it looks like
