MY intended spec - Insights appreciated :)

It's hard to tell to be honest, my hearing isn't fantastic, but as far as I can tell it is damned quiet, to the point of being inaudible when the case side is on. But it's right next to the GFX card, which is like a hovercraft, so it can be hard to tell :P

Almost exactly the same spec... for the same price you paid. If it wasn't for the fact that the 4870x2 has dropped £50 in 6 months it would actually not have budged.
 
Hah! Thanks for that! Great to see that my rig has held it's value :) I got a bit of a discount because I bought everything when OC had their 666 offer on, so 6.66% (I think it was?) of the total amount was shaved off! :)

Very happy to see that everything has held it's value well, usually in the crazy land of computers, everything is sooo outdated in 6 months :) I'm VERY happy with the money I spent :)
 
It's both held its value well in a relative term (nothing is out of date by much) and it's the effect of the recession. The Q6600 was £99.99 at one point, now it's up at the £140-150 mark. The case gained about 60% of its original value too.
 
The 6600 is a cracking processor, brilliantly easy and safe to overclock with the mobo I chose. I'm almost MORE happy knowing about the price-fix than I was before! Thanks again for the info!
