MY iPod Touch won't turn on...?!

I was using my iPob til the end of it's charge when it turned itself off... put it on charge... and now it won't turn back on?! Everything is plugged in correctly and i've tried 3 different plug sockets incase that was the problem, but the charging symbol won't show and after 10 mins of being left to charge i still can't turn it on

(( Any ideas why?! ...i'm missing it already

Certainly with my old iPhone 3G, if I let it go utterly flat, it could take 20-30 minutes before it powered back on once put on charge.

I assume you've tried booting it in recovery/DFU mode?

i'll try to be a little less impatient with it and give it a little longer to charge... how do i reboot in recovery/DFU mode?! I'm not very technology minded when it come to iPods

Feeling a little silly...

I'd been told to hold down the home and off button at the same time for 10 seconds... when i was told 10 seconds, i didn't actually think that meant a FULL 10 seconds... hence why it wasn't switching on... :rolleyes:

it's back on now though - YEY!!

...i'm pretty sure i can't be the only one to make this mistake and think 3 seconds should be enough time?!
