You should definitely post your recipe and method :) As you say, there is no correct one but there is always something to be learned from how other people approach a meal.

I quite like frying off small bits of chorizo to add into my bolognese sauce. I also tend to add a tiny pinch of chilli, which I find helps bring out the flavour of the tomatoes (I use passata rather than tinned tomatoes though).

Also, agreed re most food tasting better the next day :)
