So yeha i took these a bit ago but forgot to get roudn to adding them to the thread. Im lazy....

Anyhoo I was considering putting a border on this and entering it. It was taken with my old Fuji s3000 with a set of screw on macro lenses. These things are alright I guess, well hmmm not with this camera. I had to zoom in with the cameras zoom, then to get the the flower/part of the flower in focus I had to move the camera nearer/further away from the flower. It was kinda hard as it was a bit breezy on the day and I had no tripod!

I have a few other random photos on flickr, I need to get round to uploading a whole load more that I have taken

C&C welcome.

The one youve posted does nothing for me im afraid, but, the weird looking wooden cube has potential imo... the texture and shallow DOF is great and im sure sitting it on an item with contrasting texture would make for a good abstract type shot.

To improve on the picture I think you should try and make sure the light is behind you and not in front, the flash/a bit of white card to reflect the light can be of use here. With the extra light the camera should be able to use a higher shutter speed/smaller apature (or higher F number whichever way you want to look at it) so you'll get less motion blur and a larger area in focus too.

Above all keep practicing!

Its funny cos I dont really liek that one. Well i do its just the poor job i did of selecting the parts to keep yellow on the daisys at the front of the picture.
