My Marantz CD63....

My Marantz CD63 has recently started randomly stopping when it plays some discs... I bought it second hand for £40 a few months ago. Do you think it could be dirty optics or something?

Also does anyone know of a company that will modify/ fix it for me?

you can try and take it apart and see, if its more than that your best to buy another second hand one as it will cost near enough £40 to fix i would guess at the least

Unlikely not to just be a dirty laser or something simple?

It could be but i tryed cleaning the lens on my marantz cd5400 which i guess is close to your cd player and it didnt help, its worth a try still.

You can get CDs for a few pound with brushs on them which i would give a try.
