My mates coffin - Not sure if srs

There is an awful lot of pointless tradition and guilt associated with funerals that make the whole process more miserable than it has to be. Undertakers prey on this to extract more money for fripperies.

You must have a church do, you must have a meal, you must invite everyone, you must dress up and look somber, you must drive around in a hearse.
Why?

I think it's great and I've already told my family I want some type of Tesco Value coffin wrapping put around mine.

I have let it be known i want the box stamped "return to sender" like they put uncle vladimir ( benders uncle ) in on futurama. ( episode: the honking ) :p

Apart from a hardwood coffin, burial is probably more eco friendly than cremation, it puts the nutrients back into the soil.
THat depends where they place new cemeteries.

That's horrific. But whatever makes his family happy is all that matters.

The way I see it, a funeral is there for me to say good bye and my family to do the same. If I want a quirky coffin, that's my choice, nobody else's. I wouldn't shy away from doing random things like this in life, so why should I in death?

didnt see this one in the news then?

When my mum was dying she insisted to everyone that at her funeral they must not wear black and Wear colours instead. They did, and some people really went to town with some crazy colour shirts, suits and dresses. It was brilliant.

You say he was fish mad (hence the coffin) and I must admit my curiosity is piqued. How to ask this delicately - was his demise related to his passion (Steve Irwin comes to mind) or something else entirely? Feel free to ignore if you don't want to go into details.

I don't consider that appropriate for myself. It's a matter of personal preference. But for my own funeral everyone should wear black and white. I love that combination. It's so strong.
