My Merc 230k CLK from rust bucket to just right!

explains why it doesn't sit quite right with the 19's. were they an option on the se's? I do like that style but the car seems to high on them in the pics.

TBH i am not sure , i am not a BMW fan , and never followed there specs much , the wheels have M badges on them , so i assume they were fitted later and not part of original car ....must admit though the build quality seems to be very good on the bmw , will have to hope the CL merc quality is as good

No, they were never an option, judging by the Nexen N3000's on them they are probably Ebay Fakes?

Bloomin ek, that Merc was in a hell of a state, I thought I'd seen some bad ones but that is probably the worst ...and you bought it! ...rather you than me, still you've made it look presentable again. I do think it would have looked better if you hadn't blacked the chrome grill and you had restored the original alloys rather than put those huge ones on it ...it would also ride better. I also think it would look better without the Scotish flag plate, having blue on the number plate upsets the ...ambiance for me.

Cracking work, finish looks top class, however i wouldn't have wasted all the time, effort and cost on such a meh car, shame you didn't spend the cash on something worthwhile instead.

Finished product looks good, except the wheels which redefine terrible.
