by the way just looking at the spec shows the 680 is mid range... nvidias time table for card releases shows the gk 104 having - Memory Interface: 256-Bit which mid range all have

high ends going back to gtx 285 all have - Memory Interface: 384-Bit which the gk 110 also uses

Makes you wonder what the profit margins are like on the current cards. (for amd/nvidia rather than retailers)

i wouldnt be surprised if these cards (probably 670 models renamed to 680) were meant for the under £300 price market to follow on from the gtx 560/570 but being sly and seeing as the 580 is still 300-400 they released it as gtx 680 and high end so they could automatically hang them with an increased price tag at £400-500

hopefully soon theyll lower the prices on all thier card lines.
