Howdy :)

Does anyone have a Gigabyte P31-S3L with 4GB of ram, and if so, what sticks are they?

I have 4 x 1GB sticks of Geil Ultra, and the board only shows a max of 2GB in BIOS, regardless of whether I use 2, 3 or 4 sticks in any and all banks, at any voltage. :'(

I bought the board as it was an ultra cheap upgrade from skt939, but now I'm wishing I spent a little more - can anyone recommend me a mobo for £60 max that'll see the four 1GB sticks?

Cheers!

will all the P35 boards allow 4x1GB? If so, it seems I could get a P35 board cheaper than 2x2GB.. and might allow a higher FSB clock than I have currently..

2 P35's here both running 4x1gb. One has Ballistix, the other some Patriot Extreme. No problems what so ever. For £60 Id go with the OcUK P35 board.

tbh, I'll buy from a competitor, that way I can grab the board tomorrow - a DS3L - I have a Lan party soon, so I'm in a rush to get my new board's OC stable :)

Reckon the DS3L will be fine with the four sticks?

Sorry to sound like a stuck record, I just don't want to fork out £60 only to get home and find I have the exact same issue!
